Integrating video conferencing
Video conferencing technology has been a huge help to many of us during the Covid pandemic. Pub quiz groups and office coworkers have managed to catch up regurely using relatively inexpensive tools such as Zoom, Bluejeans and Microsoft Teams to share screens and communicate over choppy home internet connections. These systems are all based on a protocol called WebRTC. WebRTC is a low latency open source tool predominately designed for browsers. Thanks to some rather forceful downloading, these apps are now the standard way we communicate online.
Some of our clients have invested in enterprise level subscriptions for their teams and really love the ease of use while communicating with their team. While Zoom and the like offer a much lower visual and audio quality than a traditional live stream, its the ability for hundreds of staff members to feed back at any point that has lead to clients asking us to feed into these systems.
