Organised Chaos for Charity…

“If you ever wondered what organised chaos looks like, watching a game of dragqueens playing rugby is definitely it…”

As proud Media Sponsors for the Cardiff Lions RFC, Wales’ first and oldest LGBTQ rugby team, we were buzzing with excitement to record a charity match at the iconic Cardiff Arms Park. Known as the birthplace of Welsh Rugby, the Arms Park was buzzing with excitement…and wigs. This was a special occasion, as it was the fifth anniversary of this chaotic event.

The Cardiff Lions RFC are an LGBTQ+ inclusive team and part of the IGR, the International Gay Rugby league. With over 150 clubs worldwide, it’s the largest LGBTQ+ sports organisation in the world. Now more than ever, having organisations like the IGR is vital to getting more LGBTQ+ players back in the game.

Our editor Steven put on his rugby boots while the rest of the team set up their cameras. Our Blackmagic URSA G2 was tucked away in the gantry, ready to capture all the action from above. Our DOP James was running around the pitch with his trusty Canon C70 getting all those important slow-motion shots. Daniel was taking great pictures and amazing behind the scenes content. Overall we shot hours and hours of incredible footage.

We are incredibly proud to be the Cardiff Lions RFC Media Sponsor this year. They are currently top of the league and it’s promising to be a spectacular season. In the summer they will end the season with a rugby tour to Oslo, where the Union Cup 2025 is being held. And our logo just looks amazing on their brand new kit!
