A Peek Behind the Scenes: Filming the EuroGames Cardiff 2027 Promo

Now that our promo video for EuroGames Cardiff 2027 is finally out in the world, we wanted to share a bit of what went on behind the lens. Being commissioned to create the very first promo for the games coming to our home city was an opportunity we couldn’t turn down, and it’s been one of our favorite projects to date.

Our main goal was to show off why Cardiff is such a great fit for an event like this. It’s not just about the iconic landmarks or the bustling streets (and the constant rain made us work hard to show those off!) - it’s about the community. We wanted the film to feel like a proper Welsh welcome, highlighting the diverse and inclusive sporting world that makes this city so special.

We spent a few busy days running around the capital, and we owe a huge thank you to all the local sportspeople who got involved from LGBTQ+ clubs across the city. They brought the passion and the skills that really make the video pop, and were more than keen to go along with our slightly unhinged script. We also can’t ignore our impeccable VoiceOver artist Catrin Feelings, a true modern Welsh icon who even makes a cheeky cameo at the end…!

Delivering this film has been a real highlight for us at AOTV. Our team worked together seamlessly to script, storyboard, shoot and edit this film with a pretty quick turnaround, and we’re really proud of how it turned out.
