Together in Pride
The challenge.
LGBTQ+ stories in sport are too often framed around barriers and exclusion. We wanted to flip that—focusing on the positive power of rugby and the communities being built across Wales. The brief: something authentic and emotionally engaging, true to real experiences, made to WRU production standards.
Our approach.
The WRU gave us rare creative freedom, and we used it to centre honest conversations over scripted lines. AOTV handled everything in-house, concept to final render. Pre-interviews put players from Cardiff Lions, Swansea Vikings and Wrexham Rhinos at ease—some shared stories on camera they'd never told before. Filmed inside the Principality Stadium, the piece blends personal interviews, cinematic visuals and atmospheric stadium footage into something personal, genuine and relatable.
