Studio Update

As we communicate with more and more remote contributors we thought it was time to give them a better view of the people pressing the buttons.

This is the first of two remote production suites we have planned allowing us to see all feeds, monitor critical inputs and line up outgoing VT. We’ve redeployed some of our cameras to give contributors a better view of us and how we’re working. The Atomos Shogun 7 serves as a quick one handed switcher, allowing for four inputs to be mixed and sent into the vision mixing software. We also have a larger Blackmagic ATEM Television Studio HD which allows for 8 inputs, currently deployed as a graphics and VT switcher.

Our clients have been so impressed by our remote events that they’re baking it into their business plans, and not just for the duration of coronavirus. We now have the capacity to produce hybrid events, a mix of on site filming with remote contributors calling in live. As we consider the lasting impact of air travel, this option enables a sustainable yet still professional package of content. It’s this option that we’re finding clients most interested in, partly because of its flexibility and low cost. For example, a studio can be hired in your city of choice and a minimal crew can film key talent on site. The rest of the production can still take place in our studio, safe with our super fast Hyperoptic connection. This opens up huge possibilities for utilising space you may already have. Corporate boardrooms, factory floors and staff canteens can all be transformed into beautiful sets with lighting and design.

This really is a great time for experimentation, audiences are clambering to see more interactive live content and we can’t be the only ones getting bored of video conferencing app fails? Ensure your production to a talented crew with the best hardware by getting in touch today.
